Scenic Seine River

The Travel Team’s Peter Vukelic  invites you to raise a glass with him aboard U by Uniworld as he guides you down France’s scenic river Seine to sample local beer, wine, cider, champagne and much more. Whether you joined Peter for the 2016 European Craft Beer Cruise along the Danube River or not, the Sips on the Seine cruise is a can’t miss adventure for beverage enthusiasts who also have a passion for art, history, culture, cuisine and all things luxurious.

The “U” Was Designed for You

Peter describes U’s ship The B  as a contemporary floating boutique hotel. The ship’s clean lines, modern décor, and inviting social spaces are a reflection of its travelers – active professionals who seek adventure and appreciate innovation and style. With three different room types, there are accommodation options for everyone, and every room has a view.

A Diverse Itinerary

While largely centered around our collective appreciation for, and thirst to explore, the world’s most sought-after beverages, the Sips on the Seine cruise has a carefully curated itinerary that extends beyond the bar.

As part of our journey, you’ll have the rare opportunity to participate in some of the events planned to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. We’ll spend a full day around the sacred beaches of Normandy; with time to walk the battlefields, Utah beach and reflect at Pointe du Hoc; visit the Sainte Mère Eglise Airborne museum and the Normandy American cemetery, and experience a private ceremony at Omaha beach.

A passion for art and culture can be nourished, or inspired, with optional visits to Monet’s Gardens, a castle on Mont Saint Michel, the Palace of Versailles and the Louvre.

For the Love of Good Food

U is known for delicious dining. The B  features a full-service restaurant and a lite-menu in the U Lounge for all day, both serving fresh, farm-to-table food inspired by the culinary style of the region. There’s time to explore fresh local markets and visit local eateries while on land.

Our itinerary has several included activities to do just that, such as rooftop yoga classes and bike rides along the river and through the towns.
